Sarah Marjanovic is a multifaceted visual artist. She holds an MFA from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville (2014) and a BFA from Eastern Illinois University (2011). As a fine artist, recognized for both representational and abstract artworks, Sarah has exhibited in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Texas. Her art was most recently featured in the Galex 54 juried art exhibition at the Galesburg Civic Art Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

At present she is a graphic designer and illustrator for Living with Wildlife Illinois and an exhibition coordinator at Giertz Gallery at Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois. When she is not in the studio, gallery or at her computer, you will find her outside in her garden or on a trail at a natural area.

Sarah is devoted to conservation of our natural resources. Much of her inspiration is drawn from the experiences of working in land stewardship with her family, especially working in restoration of natural communities (prairies, forests, and wetlands). Currently, her creative energies are engaged in mixed media, producing evocative earthy abstractions through a unique process of drawing with thread, collaging, and allowing paint to flow unhindered upon paper.
